Prototype

the other “Pages” are still being worked on.

Imagine this somewhat like a moving picturebook without words.

Still a rough draft.

An introduction “page” inspired by the feeling of depth created by the “city” panel from past projects.

One Response to “Prototype”

  1. Are you intending these scenes to be as long as they are here? They are long… If there is dialogue over them, try to get that in there. But, I’d like to see you try to keep the image interesting for longer. The shot of the city gets old after a few seconds. Why not have some really close foreground images pass by the camera (tops of roofs, other buildings). Maybe even see some people/ figures in windows, on top of the buildings in the foreground. I think a little more range in the values would be nice to see the atmospheric perspective (its really dark. or else, have some lights pop up randomly on building here and there to try to break up the repeating patterns of buildings passing us… look for ways to vary the cycles so it doesn’t feel repetitious, even though it will be. The second one, is it a reflection of the the guys face in a window as he is moving (either in car or train). If so, I think the guy should move with the reflection (seems off). Also, if he’s in a car, look at some reference for what it looks like as you pass street lights, in a car (how the shadows would move… might be a chance to show a little detail behind him too as the light comes into the shot). Right now, my main question (b/c we don’t hear any dialogue) is why are we seeing these images, who is this person and why do I care/ why should I care (as a viewer). If the city is your first shot too, then definitely look for ways to spice it up a bit (first image to grab people’s attention… if its hard to see or repetitious, you’ll start to loose your audience right from the start).
